Feel free to contact us if you have questions about gear (dssbca.admin @ dssbca.com)… Don’t worry if you don’t have a sling or load-bearing gear. Part of the day is talking about gear, and you can see a few options the mentors use and discuss pros and cons of each.
Make sure your firearm and optic are operational, well maintained, lubricated, and zeroed in for the course. Also, please take the time to make yourself familiar with the basic operations required to load, unload, clear and render your firearm safe.
Please take the time to review the match rules, safety, and qualifier link pages on our website before the course.
This is a pass/fail course. The focus will be on safety, and you will need to be able to explain the four basic rules of firearms safety. They are listed below:
- Always treat firearms as if they are loaded at all times.
- Never point your firearm at something that you are not willing to destroy.
- Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target.
- Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.
The crew looks forward to meeting you!
